1. Noon through 7pm, siesta is strictly observed in Salta. Even the stray dogs observe it. Shops closed and streets relatively empty
2. We got charged an item on the bill that we didn't recognize at dinner the other night, it translated to cutlery.
3. The road rules here in Salta make India seem organized and regulated
4. Salta has plump delicious oranges growing in the main square
5. I can't eat anymore cheese and bread, someone give me a carrot or something
6. Coca tea is used to alleviate the sickness causes by high altitude (it really works) and it's bloody delicious! Smooth and tasty!!
7. J walking is a way of life here, if you don't j walk you could be stuck at the same intersection for hrs- drivers will not stop for you even of you are at a pedestrian crossing
8. Salta neighbors the Andes and Chile
